I have mastered skills in writing this year which have helped me throughout the year. Some of these skills are editing and extending your sentences with connections. Some of these skilling I learned I used in my fiction writing piece. With the fiction writing piece I used the skills of creating a character with trails to describe them. Some other things are describing the setting of the story. I think that I have improved in these skills because my writing pieces have been getting better. Another thing that I think I really did well was making the setting very clear and making the climax really good.
I think I have improved this year as a writer because all of my pieces that I have done I have liked. Mrs. Bubalis has been a really good teacher throughout the year with teaching me different skills that have improved my writing. Last year I was an ok writer but this year I think I’m a pretty good writer now. She has showed me many skilled that I use in my writing now. Since last year I think that my writing has improved a lot!
Some skills that I have to improve on are describing the character in the story better. This skill is pretty important in writing because without this the character will be a regular person with no personality. One other skill that I need to improve on is having less conversation in my piece. With all the conversation in my piece it will get kind of boring to the reader and they will lose interest. If all you have in your piece is conversation then your story is going to be very bad and just plain and boring. You need other things in your writing like narration and other details to make the story better.
